Great
emphasis is laid on discipline and character building and
students are expected to maintain a high standard of
discipline. They are subject to the rules and regulations
of the college and Hostel
-
The
student admitted to the college must abide by all the
rules and regulations as prescribed by the college
authority. Violation of rules, unsatisfactory progress,
irregular attendance, irregular clearance of college and
hostel fees, showing discourtesy to the teacher and staff
members in any form, adoption of unfair means during
examinations etc. are some of the offences which may make
students liable for disciplinary action.

All
forms of ragging in hostels and the college campus are
prohibited. Strong disciplinary action may be taken if any
one is found to be involved directly or indirectly in
ragging. The college authority will not hesitate to
initiate legal actions against those involved in ragging.

Students
Associations shall be subject to such rules and
regulations as the college administration may prescribe
from time to time.

Any
notice desired to be posted or circulated by the students
or any organisation anywhere in the college and hostel
premises will require the prior approval of the college
authority.

All
powers of maintenance of discipline are vested with the
Head of the Institution and his decision shall be final in
all such matter.
Students
who fail to attend their classes over a certain period of time
AT A STRETCH on genuine, reasonable and acceptable grounds
such as serious diseases or accidents and related treatment
involving themselves and members of the family, death or near
and dear ones, academic / sports / cultural activities
approved by the college etc. must apply, in writing, to the
Head of the Department concerned for consideration of leave of
the absence for the period, immediately after such absence.
Application must be supported with testimonial / documents
wherever necessary. Even for such cases the actual attendance
must not fall short of 50%. Student
Attendance The
college is keen to take student's class attendance strictly
into account for their promotion, academic awards, character
certificates, Rly./Air concessions and scholarship.

Note:
Non-collegiate students have to pay a fine of Rs. 200/- as
N.C fee prescribed by the University and the Council, if sent
up for Final Examination(s) while Discollegiate student's are
not permitted to sit for any Final Examinations.
College
Examinations
The
college will hold unit tests, terminal examinations and test
examination as per the academic calendars. The performance in
all these exams will be counted for promotion to the higher
classes and / or will be the only criteria to be allowed to
appear any final examinations. For major students and students
offering vocational / professional courses shall have to
appear all the examinations as and when held by the respective
departments.
Identity
Cards
All
the bona fide students of Tinsukia College are issued an
identity card each, duly authenticated by the college
authority. It is mandatory for each student to carry the
identity card while entering the college campus. The Identity
Card is necessary for all college matters and has to be
renewed annually.

Uniform
It
is a must for every student to wear college uniform while
entering the college campus for any purpose.
Summer:

: White shirt and black pant.

: White blouse, white Mekhela and Chadar with deep blue
border (or any decent Indian version of such an uniform).
Winter:

: White shirt and black pant and deep blue sweater /
pullover / blazer.
