Accredited "B" to Tinsukia College
A Peer Team of NAAC
(National Assessment and Accreditation Council) comprising Dr.
(Prof) P.K. Choudhury, Vice Chairman of West Bengal Higher
Education Council, Dr. Fr. P. J. Victor, Principal St.
Joseph's College, Darjeeling and Dr. (Prof) S. Dutta, Dean
faculty of Arts, Arunachal University visited the College on
February 6th and 7th, 2004.
As per their report
submitted to the Principal, on the exit meeting, they used seven
criteria as the basis of the assessment procedure.

Each of the areas of assessment
bear specific marks bear specific marks for evaluation. The NAAC
Executive Council will place the college in grades in accordance
with the peer team's evaluation and report. There are nine grades as
per the slabs of marks secured by the colleges. As such Tinsukia
College got "B" Grade which lies in the 9 point scale with
a score of 70 - 75%.
